Vintage Mission / Arts & Crafts American Tiger Oak Round Dining or Kitchen Table & 1 Leaf Circa 1910's. Beautiful American quarter sawn oak (1/4 or tiger oak) round dining table. The wood on the table top is solid tiger oak sometimes referred to as quarter sawn.Made in the mission or arts & crafts style. It is an original piece not a later reproduction which dates from about the 1910's. Marked on the bottom Hawthorne for the Hawthorne Furniture Co. This company started in the Hawthorne CA area in the 1800s and later moved to Los Angeles, CA. You can use it in original used condition, but you would always have the option of refinishing it to your taste. The leaf has a slightly different color as it wasn't exposed to the sun as much as the top. The top shows 100+ years of use and wear. There are old wheels on the table which are most likely not original. It is about 48 inch diameter. With the 9.5 inch leaf the table is about 57.5 inch long. If you choose to make additional leaves the table opens up to a total of 74 inch. Height is about 29.75 in.
